  1. Read the bottom of the following 2 pages:

    http://www.a2dvoices.com/realitycheck/ra...

    http://www.a2dvoices.com/realitycheck/gp...

The first article describes how to use radar against instant on radar.

The second article describes how to use your gps to avoid red light and movie traffic camera tickets.

  2. Just slow down, No sense throwing good money after bad.

  3. I guess or you will be in jail for vehicular manslaughter. If you drive like Wilson

  4. First, can we just get you out of the victim mentality for just a minute? Because you are not a victim. In fact, you are a perpetrator, if you want to get technical. That's what the justice system calls people who break the law and get caught. No speeding, no ticket. Whoever said don't throw good money after bad was right. 300 bucks on a radar detector is irresponsible. Pay your ticket, watch the signs. I got a speeding ticket this year, I paid it, went to traffic school to keep it off my record, and now when I go by that same spot I go the limit. It's rarely if ever worth the time you save by speeding, and a decent radar detector will only maybe help you. And if you get pulled over for anything else, good luck, just having it in the car will erase all of the cop's goodwill toward you and he will not hesitate to write you up. You may have a chance of sweet-talking him without that detector sitting in the window, but with it you're a dead duck. It does not make a bit of difference whether they are legal or not. If you absolutely must have one, and if you have weighed the cost versus putting food on your table, shoes on the kids, and the possibility of hurting someone else because you want to speed, and you still come out completely at peace with the idea, get an Escort or a Cobra or a Valentine. They're the top brands.

  5. I have a cobra xrs 9930. it was 160 when i got it. I go 150-155 on the freeway (mph) all the time, and not once have i been caught.  One time i picked up a helicopter or airplane scanner.  If you want the best, prepare to spend 400-500 for something like a nice Passport. If your price range is not that high, just about any brand that offers a wide price range of detectors is good.  Aim for the 150-200 range, as these offer good enough protection for hte price.  I personally like Cobra, but don't bother with the cheaper units.  They make you more confident, but they really dont do a whole lot for your safety(from getting a ticket)
