How to choose the career and major im interested in?

Question

Is there anything like specific name you could give me that will help me to choose what major or career I'm interested in?

Like a book with a different majors and under each major, a description telling me what its about and what you do. It would be great if it also told me about different jobs that you can work as if you take a specific major

If you are still in school, and if you are trying to decide on a major you should be, check out the school guidance counselors. They are trained to help you in things like this. Talking and discussing is better than looking in a book.

After you get a idea of what you want to do, look for a local successful company in this field. Talk with someone there. Maybe the Human Resource people but I would go for a Manager. Ask them if what you are looking at is viable. People in higher positions like to be mentors.
