I was reading the back cover of my book, and i wanted to use an exact phrase that was in it. I didn't know how to cite it or if I even have to cite it, but I'm guessing i have to so it wont be considered plagiarism .So if anyone knows please let me know[:

  1. I'll give you an MLA example:

[Mind you, I'm not spending much time on this, so it won't be written well.]

It is interesting when the elderly man in Fahrenheit 451 says, "Mistakes can be prefited by," (Bradbury 104).

  2. when you cite someting in MLA format you say the name of the book in the sentence, then the quote then you put the authors name and the page number in parentheses and after the second one you put the period. like this:

    "blah blah blah" (smith 100).

    hope this helps!

  3. Yes,  you have to cite it, as it is not yours. Cite the phrase like you normally would, but instead of page, use the phrase "dust cover."

    Regards,

    Dan
