How to clean 46 in lcd?

i have a 46 in lcd tv i tried to clean the screen with like glass cleaner and i tried water but it seems to smear the tv screen and make it worse than it already is there is like handprints on the screen.what is the best way to clean the screen on the tv. any ideas

Most stores will carry a screen cleaner you can use ones made for computers or tvs.Use a soft non abrasive cloth.

NEVER spray a liquid directly on your screen.

Use a microfibre cloth.  Start off with the dry cloth and see if this works.  If that is not enough, **very slightly** dampen the cloth with distilled water (available from a drugstore), then wipe the screen with the dampened cloth.

don't use water or windex or glass cleaner.  I sell tv's for a living.  buy an lcd screen cleaning kit,  like monster cable makes.  its a special formula that won't damage your screen, and always use a microfiber cloth.  (the kits usually come with the cleaner and a cloth or two)  you can probably find them on ebay.  if you have been using windex and/or water with a regular cloth or towel,  your screen may be showing permanent marks.  hopefully not!
