Question:

How to clean a bloodied hamster?

I have two robo-dwarf hamsters who have been fighting. I gave the aggressor away on Craigslist, but the injured one still has a bloody backside which she can't reach.

I went to the pet store and picked up some hamster cleaning spray (it's like a shampoo, you just spray it on and let it dry, and then brush them). Unfortunately, anyone who has ever had a robo knows that they're terribly hard to hold on, let alone brush.

Should I just wipe her down with a damp paper towel? What is my next move?

Thanks for your help!

  1. I would use a warm wet wash cloth - no soap.
