How to clean a fish bowl with a Beta fish in it?

OMG!  So many people, so few know how to clean a fish tank!  DON'T MOVE THE FISH!  It just stresses him for no good reason!  Leave the poor fish alone!  Use some sort of suction device (a piece of airhose, a turkey baster, a gravel vacuum, etc.) and carefully suck up the gunk from the bottom of the bowl or tank along with NO MORE than 50% of the water in the fish's container.  Then add fresh, conditioned water of the same temperature.

Scoop it up with the cup you bought it in or gently pour the betta and old water into another clean container.

Add clean de-chlorinated water, making sure the temp of the new water and the temp of the old water are similar so you don't shock the betta, to the betta's tank and then you're done.

My beta has a square vase that he stays in, and how i do it is to drain out most of the water into the sink while holding a cup or a mug underneath it, and when he's about to come out, stick your mug under and pour a little faster and dump him into the mug.

Then if you're cleaning the same bowl, clean it and dump him back in. What i do is i have two bowls for mine, and get one all ready to go, and then just dump him into the mug, then dump him into the other bowl. It's worked for me for 2+ years !

I use a soup ladle to scoop my little guys out and i put him in a glass with a little of his bowl water. Then i clean the bowl with warm water, using  a strainer for the gravel to clean it. Then put room temperature water in the bowl and add the fish! You can also go to the pet store and get a little net for like $2, but a soup ladle works alright.

Your Betta needs a 5g filtered and heated tank to live a happy and healthy life. Why would you get a Betta without knowing how to care for it?

dump the water out lil by lil dont let the fish fall out when theres just enough water in it for the batta poor the water in a cup then clean the bowls walls put clean water in then poor the water back in the bowl and make sure its all room temp if the water was real dirty then try to grab the betta and put it in

but u can just get a small fish net lol
