How to clean a micro-suede couch?

It's light beige, and I tried to clean it with dilluted laundry soap, but it didn't help much.

try a very diluted woolite solution and see if thsat helps at all , blot it and keep changing paper towels until it blots clean.

What does the manufacturer recommend?  Microfiber can cover many different fibers, including polyester (which can be permanently discolored with oil), nylon, rayon, etc.

Check the care tags.

My mom has a light beige micro-suede couch and lets my toddlers eat on it!!  Anyway, she just uses diluted dish soap and then goes over it with a wet rag, water only.  This also got out inkpen stains.
