How to clean a smoking bowl?

Question

I have a bowl that I wanted to clean (yes I smoke weed with it) and I was wondering what the best way to clean it would be. I've heard one way is letting it sit in rubbing alcohol for a few hours.

rubbing alcohol works well, but you're still going to have to put in some elbow grease.  Keep in mind, things won't be quite 'the same' after... and make sure you rinse it real good before you use it again, alcohol is flamable!!! lmao

i boiled my glass bowl. worked like a charm. but when the other ones get yucky i scrape and smoke!!! but ya i know what you mean they get real gross and stink.  dont want 2 get your hands dirty? buy a new one.
