I just moved into my apartment and I want to sanitize my wooden cabinets so I can put mugs in them upside down without worrying about germs. I don't want to damage the wood. How do I go about this? Thanks!

  1. You can use waxed paper to inexpensively line your shelves.  This way you don't have to worry about whether or not you've cleaned the cabinets well enough.

  2. Try wiping them down with some vinegar & water and use some shelf paper.=)

  3. Murphy's Oil Soap.  Mix it according to the directions and it will do great.  My grandmother uses this on really expensive furniture pieces, and it removes smells and never hurts the wood.  I love that stuff.  It is great for mopping wooden floors too.

  4. 1st take out everything in the cabinet than get a wood cleaner at the store. Spray it on the wood and wipe with a paper towel or rag. Let dry before putting dishes back in (if any).
