How to clean an lcd tv?

my lcd tv has some smudges and specks of dust on it, iv tried wiping them off, but nothing is working, whats the best and safest way to clean this thing?

just use plain old water and a very soft

cloth just dampen the cloth

lightly swipe the smudges and wipe

dry with another clean dry cloth

sometmes you may  have to repeat the process. it works great and at no cost to you.

Go to a computer store and get a can of cleaner designed for use with laptop computer screens. You cannot use standards cleaners for LCD screens that you might otherwise for glass (i.e. Windex), or you risk damaging the screen.

Get a microfiber cloth, sold in all h/w stores.

If needed, moist it with some water.

You must use chemicals made for that type of screen or you may damage it. ask anyone at best buy or circuitcity or radioshack.
