How to clean and organize a closet?

im starting college monday =D and i bought a ton of new clothing ^__^ however my closet is messy and full how do i can and organize it to fit everything in? also we are trying to sell the house and move out of state so i cant spend money on organizers its a small closet and i have a ton of clothing pixs would be great best answer gets 10 points

I use a chained dog leash.with so many openings you can hook the one end on a wire hanger and let the rest hang down. Thus saving alot of space going downwards instead of up. Be sure to cut the chain or pry open (it's easy) to give you several chains for different garments,.ex: shirts.jeans belts dress clothes etc. etc. it's endless the space you'll have using a dog metal chain. cost about 3.98 at walmart. get the shortest length as this is plenty after you separate it. hope this helps you good luck sure you'll never stop using it ...

take out everything and sell or donate what you done want or need then hang like items together jens skirts tops jackets

What I do is I go to the store my mom works at and get a whole bunch of empty cardboard boxes.

Then I go through my closet, throw out or give away everything I dont want, hang all the clothes up that I want to keep, then throw the rest of the stuff into the boxes.

I help my kids clean their closets. First, clan on laundry day. All your favorite clothes will be in the laundry. Next take all the clothes out. Put back in 10-15 or your favorite outfits. Box everything else up and store in the garage. Don't go through it now unless you see a couple items you know right away that you don't want. Don't put anything back that isn't clean or that needs repairs.

It's much better to have your favorite clothing and less of it than a closet full of stuff you don't like that much.

*depending on your closet size is how long it will take,

1st take out everything besides your clothes ,boxes, shoes ,anything

2nd decide what u really want to keep from the boxes you pulled out,

3rd , pull out your clothes lay them on hte bed make sure u dont mix your new ones with old ones,

4th take your old clothes and decide wich ones you really want to keep, shirts from middle school should really not be in their,

5th, then take the clothes you decided to keep either iron them or dont just put them in hangers

6th your closet should be completely empty, take a wet rag and quickly go over your shelf to take off dirt, also vacumm inside hte closet

7th now put the boxes back in nice ways try to fit them on top of each other, becuase  even if you have empty space it makes the closet look cleaner,

8th now hang all your clothes up put the older clothes around the newer ones

9th donate the clothes you dont want,

**if ur a girl then keepyour purses lined up on a top shelve

10th sprays some febreeze

11th eat a box of godvia chocolates to reward yourself lol

your done
