Is washing and drying all the bedding enough or does there need to be a sanitizer added to the wash? Do your usual antibacterial cleaners take care of it in tubs etc. even though it's not a bacteria?

  1. ok

  2. mix clorox and water together half and half and use it on on surfaces, bathrooms ext, it is 100% the cleanest thing you can use to disinfect, clean.. ext. your normal household cleaners like lysol, and things should work as well but i would use clorox to be on the safe side, and yes washing the bedsheets and thing should be fine, wash them in hot water.... hope this hellped

  3. move!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. I am far from being a MD and i don't know how this illness transmit but i think a good cleaning of the sheets in warm water with come bleach and clean furniture and bath with a solution of a few drops of chlorine in a bottle of water will do the job ...

  5. Spray disinfectant on everything!

  6. I wouldn't get too shook.  As another poster said, just wash bedding in hot water and dry.  Surfaces can be cleaned with a mild bleach solution or fungicide.

Ringworm is the same fungus that causes athlete's foot and jock itch.  It's all the same thing, it just has different names depending on where on the body it is present.  It can also be present in finger and toenails, and also the beard area on men.  The hardest to deal with is when it comes out on the scalp, as then it is a deeper, systemic infection that does require oral meds.

But, not all people are sensitive to it either.  You may not have any problems.  My ex had terrible athlete's foot and ringworm on the chest and in the nearly 20 years we were together, had to constantly treat it.  He passed his sensitivity on to our daughter, who has the athlete's foot part of it and did on one occasion, develop it on her body/scalp.  I however, have never had a single instance of it regardless of sharing towels, standing on the same tub floor showering, without it being disinfected first...I'm fortunate in that I evidently have a natural immunity.

So just some good washing in the areas your guest was in should do the trick.

  7. Wash all your linens!!!!!!!!!

Use lysol on solid surfaces, this is NOT something you want in your house! I would Lysol the **** out of everything!
