How to clean clothing with gasoline on it?

I was filling my tank, and naturally there's a hole in the neck to the tank soooo: BIG gas puddle. It got on my favorite sweatpants, and now I need advice on how to get it out. I know all about not putting it in the dryer/fires/sparking, etc, so I've got them soaking in water with natural soap. What next? Thank you!

run them thru a normal wash cycle and dry them as you normally do, it will be just fine.

TURPENTINE GETS GAS OFF CLOTHES BUT JUST A LITTLE BIT IT IS VERY STRONG TOO

If a normal washing cycle doesn't work then try again but add some washing soda to the wash. Best wishes. UK
