How to clean hardwood floors..?

well we had a party and the kids were playing with water ballons outside and they kept going in the house and they got the hardwood floors dirty.. when i mop it its totally not coming off... i need to know what to do to get it off.. pls help!.

ive used orange glo hardwood cleaner and its not coming off still..

  1. Try hot water and Oil Soap and a rag or mop. Works like a charm


  2. First, wet-mop the area with your cleaner dissolved in hot water (I use Murphy's oil soap on my wood and Pergot floors; seems to work well) and let the water lie on the floor for a few minutes. Then go over the floor with an old absorbant towel...yes this means getting down on your hands and knees...rub up any stubbornly dirty areas. You may have to do the floor this way one section at a time if it's really muddy. Don't hurt your back!

  3. I use Murphy's Oil soap to clean mine .

  4. I used urphys oil soap  full-strength to clean dirty hardwood.  Let it sit for a minute or so, then I used a nylon scrubbie sponge which cleaned the dirt off but did not harm the finish.  Rinse and dry.
