How to clean hydrolic break fluid of a hope hydrolic disk break?

so i came off my hardtail yesterday hard in the park and in the process wraped myself and the bike, i got a leek from the hydrolic break but i fixed that but in the process of bleeding my breaks after some fluid went on the disk and the pads i think, How do i clean this stuff off ? is there anything i should use or not use ?. The break works well but it doesnt grip to good due to the fluid allover the caliper ect please help.

  1. Buy a can of brake parts cleaner. Also try scuffing up your pads with course sandpaper so they bite better.

    You may need to replace the pads if they have absorbed too much of the fluid but try sand paper first.


  2. clean rag and isopropyl alcohol.  if this doesn't work you may need to buy brake cleaner. check with your bike shop for the proper cleaner
