  1. ooooo! I have the exact same question...so I'm going to watch and see...

  2. wash them with lukewarm water and soap.  don't worry your guards won't rust.  try to replace them when the bottom of the skate guards get all dirty and worn out.  to clean inside the guards, use a toothbrush with a little soap on it. you don't want all the dirty stuff on your skates.  tip:( if you don't do this already: slightly dry your skates before putting guards on to prevent all that dirt going on the guard)

    dry the guards upside down.

    Hope that helps!:)

  3. I flush mine with water weekly. they wont rust. You will probably totally wear your guards out before they will even come close to rusting

  4. Put them in the dishwasher.

  5. Run them under some warm water and dry them upside down so the water won't get stuck in the place where your blade will go. If they start to get really bad, i suggest buying a new pair. I get new rubber guards at least once a year because they can get dirty so quickly.
