Please please do not use saddle soap or milk on your leather jacket both have the potential to ruin it.

You need to use a foam detergent water based cleaner that has been tested on leather as you know then that it will do no damage.  Always follow with a water based protector whihc will help to inhibit dirt and body oils from doing any damage to the finish.

Use petroleum to remove mildew on leather.

To clean articles of thin leather, mix about 20 drops of camphor oil in two tablespoon of milk and rub the article with this.

To remove stains from leather goods, wipe with a piece of cloth soaked in warm milk. The result is immediate. Clean the jacket with rubber brush or brittle brush. Dont use wire brush.

Dry the jacket under sun.

If it's all leather, use saddle soap. You will have to call around to find it or order it online. follow the directions on the can.

If it is a combination of leather and fabric, use saddle soap on the leather parts and upholstery cleaner on the fabric parts.
