How to clean smoke smell from air conditioner?

Hi. I was planning on spraying Ozium into my window air conditioner to eliminate a heavy smoking smell. Apparently, Ozium is a common deodorizer that works on smoking smells; you can get it at Wal-Mart. Is this a good idea? Should it work? Thanks.

I would use Lysol spray.

Replace the filter first.

I would like to know if it does,what has worked for me is spraying white vinegar on it while it's running.
