  1. A solution of bleach in water. Mix it a bit strong and soak them.

  2. I throw all of my sponges and brushes in the dishwasher.  The hot water cleans them real good.  Other equipment for cleaning I use Lysol with bleach to wipe them  down... Or you can always use a huge water bucket and put hot water and bleach and soak your items.  I find that this really works for me.

  3. Put them in the dishwasher. If you wash them in a washing machine, be sure to wash them alone and run vinegar through an empty load right after to remove residue from the inside of the machine.

  4. Soak in a solution of Soda Crystals. which is great for lots of cleaning and laundry jobs about the house.

  5. like briggitia i put mine in dishwasher. where do you get lysol from briggitia not seen it for years

  6. I soak all such things overnight in water with just a tiny amount of bleach then rinse extra well next day.

  7. Well the best way is not to use sponge at all, but if u like, u can sterilise it on the microwave after u have used, put on the microwave for 1/30min the bacterias are gone.

Cloths, just don't let then humid or wet, put on the heater or something like that if you can reach your back's fridge you also can hang the cloths there and keep then dry, so they cannot produce more bacterias.

Washing up brushes are simple just put bleach in a mug or something like that and after you have finished your washing up take the worse dirty out of the brush and put the brush in the mug with bleach and live the until next use for example.

    ;)

  8. I just buy those little packs of 14p tesco sponges and throw them away after a couple of days of dish washing, it's not very environmentally friendly but strange things happen to sponge if you try to disinfect it with bleach.  Cloths just go in the washing machine or sit in the bottom of the sink for an hour or so with some bleachy water (cleans the sink too).

  9. throw them all in washing machine. then for better results, sun dry them.

  10. I throughly rinse my sponges after every use.... Sometimes I toss them in the washer (not dryer) other times I'll rinse them a few times saturate with water and pop them in the microwave or put them in the dishwasher and run it through the cycle....

I'll generally keep a sponge for a month in kitchen and then use it to clean the bathroom for a month....

As for cloths... Wash in the washer and dry....

  11. I leave mine overnight in a diluted solution of bleach and water.
