  1. well just buy a small container or something  no need for a large tank either way it's gonna poo and you'll still have to change it.

  2. no filter?

They will get sick  from sitting and swimming in their poo. Are you feeding feeder fish and leafy greens? They do p**p alot I have 4. You need a good filter and then you can fill up the tank and leave it for a month!

  3. A Python "NO SPILL CLEAN and FILL"® aquarium maintenance system.    This will allow you to empty and then fill the tank without taking everything apart and dumping the tank.

Also, I'm not sure how much money you want to put into it but I would recommend a Rena Filstar undertank filter.  You will still have to clean it out every few weeks but it would keep the tank cleaner longer.  I use a Rena Filstar XP3 filter for my 55 gallon tank.

  4. at petsmart or walmart they sell these inexpensive things-

this will suck out the unwanted waste. you can use it as often as you like.  just make sure you replace the water you sucked out.  make sure to completely clean the tank once a week.

  5. What size tank are you keeping this poor thing in, and how large is it?

The rule of thumb for a tank is 10 gal. of water per inch of shell length (a 4" turtle needs a 40 gal. tank), and the rule of thumb for a filter is it should be able to handle a tank 3 times bigger than the actual size (40 gal. tank needs a filter that can clean 120 gal. tank).

Sorry Sweetie.  Turtles ARE messy creatures.  If you don't want to deal with it - find it an owner  who will, and get a pet rock instead.

I hope this has been of help.

  6. Try a bilge pump or aquarium vacuum, depending on the size.
