How to clean up outside brick? Discoloration and mildew.

The brick is surrounding our plants and layed down in the back yard. It is extremely discolored from the sun, very faded, and has a lot of green mildew or something of the sort on it. Is there a stain? If so, is it easy/hard? Thanks.

  1. Just get a bucket of water and add about a cup of bleach.  Use a scrub brush and wash off the mold.  Fairly simple and quick.

  2. In addition to Carolath's answer, you can buy a stiff brush with a long handle at places like Home Depot which is specifically made for cleaning up concrete for pressure washing or brick cleaning, etc.

That should make it a lot easier.

  3. If bleach doesn't do it then try muriatic acid.
