How to clean vans slip-ons?

They're brown/pink checkered and I was wondering what materials to use to clean them

  1. I just throw mine (checked canvas ones) in the washing machine and let them air dry. They come out fine.


  2. I've washed my tennies in the washer for years, but if you're afraid to do this then soak them in the sink with OxiClean and cold water.  You might need to use an old toothbrush to scrub stains.    Rinse well and set outside to dry.

  3. I would go to a store (you can try the shoe store they were purchsed from) or any other shoe store and purchase a shoe cleaner.  Especially if your shoes are made like my sister's Vans (I think it's a seude fabric) on some parts, and then other are leather.  You don't want to ruin them by using the wrong thing.
