How to clear browsing history? One site is irking!!!?

There is a web page which undesirably comes in the IE address bar whenever I press www.m (ie www.metacafe.com). Can you please tell me some really easy way to to get that removed. I have tried clearing history ; deleting cookies and temporary files using Tools>Internet Options. The web page link is persistently appearing no matter what...Thanks and Regds

Do you have ie 6 or 7? on seven it is really easy all you have to do is go to tools and deletbrowsing history and it will give you all the options.  On six you have to delete the temp files and cookies found in the tools- internet options tab

Go to the setting where you choose whether IE finishes the entry for you and set it to NOT do that. **sigh** how about this:

Tools-> Internet Options-> Content-> Autocomplete-> Uncheck all trhe boxes, then click Ok, then General-> Browsing History-> Settings-> View Files-> delete any file with that name or from that website, close that Window, then set History to 0 (zero), click OK. Go to Privacy-> Advanced-> check Override automatic cookie handling, then click Prompt, then OK. Click Sites-> then in the Address of website box, put the address you don't want, and then click Block. Go to Advanced tab-> uncheck Use inline Autocomplete. Check "Do not save encrypted pages to disk", "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when exiting", "Turn on automatic website checking". Then go to Genral tab and delete your History and everything else you mentioned. Then search for any files on your computer named Cookies and open it in Notepad and delete any lines in there you don't want. Then restart your computer and delete your history and look in the cookies and all that to make sure its gone, then restart the computer again. By then it really should be gone. If not then go back into IE and set things to the way they should be and then all that.

get ur self some reliable antivirus n antispyware. try AVG, AVIRA for antivirus and spybot,threatfire for spyware. All of these are free wares. If ur not infected try CCleaner from CCleaner.com or u can also try Glary utilities. These will surely help. N these are all freewares.
