How to clear/remove small icon on L bottom bar of screen?

Question

There's a small Yahoo Mail icon at bottom bar in L of screen near the "Start" icon. It has Yahoo Mail 1,2,3 & 4 lined up. How to remove it as I don't use it.

I use the Yahoo Mail large icon on start screen.

I'm pretty sure that you just need to right click it and then click 'remove'.

This is the quick start Panel. you right click on the blank area click on lock toolbar then right click Yahoo mail and choose delete it. Make sure you right click on blank area and lock tool bar again
