   According to http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/acces... if you wish to delete an account you can simply wait several months and hope Yahoo! does it for you. Or ....

   If you want to terminate a Yahoo! account immediately, follow these three steps.

   First, cancel any and all paid services you have with that account.

   Second, delete ALL personal information anywhere on Yahoo!.

   Third, go to http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/ch... and follow the instructions on the page. Read the entire page and be sure you understand everything, including the reasons for the first two steps that I outlined above. A link for the Yahoo "Account Deletion" page is there. There is no way of reversing the process once you've finished.
