How to combat soreness that's going to be ongoing?

Hi everyone.

I'm a 23 year old female in college, who, due to laziness, doesn't work out...ever. I'm blessed to have good genes, so I don't have to work at staying small and slim.

I'm really out of shape though, so I'm taking a jazz dance class for college credit. It's kicking my butt.

I'm sore all over after one day of class so far, and I'm sure that this is going to be an ongoing thing.

What are things I can do to help stop the soreness? I could barely get out of bed this morning my legs and shoulders hurt so badly.

Thanks in advance!!

  1. I'm the same way.  I have found that lots of gentle stretching afterward, like when you get home helps tremendously.  I used to do that in high school, like after the first day of school and you had to run the track in PE, I would go home that first day and do alot of easy-does-it stretching, i think it's "warming down".  I wasn't sore at all the next day.....

  2. afterpractice i bathe my self in this powdery stuff.youcan get in any corner   store. like 7 11. or something. iforgot the name =T but find it.read thelabel and you'lnoe exactly wat i mean. you pour in a little and youbathe in hot water withit.
