How to completely wipe my microSD?

Question

I need to delete everything off my microsd card which i had in my phone as i'm gonna use it in something else. The problem is the phone created a load of write protected folders for images music etc.

Now i can go through and delete all the files but i cant delete te folders themselves. Will the empty folders there affect how it works when i use it with an adapter in my camera?

Or is there a way to completely wipe it but make sure it still works?

You might try to get a "micro sd card reader".  Then connect the USB to the computer and put the micro sd card in the slot.  Then just "format" the card on your computer.  That should erase everything.
