How to compress video files using WinRAR?

Can anyone tell me how to compress files with high compression ratio? I have compressed a 415MB video file into 32MB rar. but now i can't find what are the settings...

If someone know... pls tell me how to do it...

  1. It sounds like you've got a pretty high compression ratio, 415MB to 32MB

    I think winrar only has one compression ratio. It uses it's algorithm and it compresses as much as it can every time.

    Of course, you can't play a winrar file, you have to unpack it. I'm sure that you're not thinking this but, just in case, you have to use a program like Premiere or Final Cut and mess around with the output settings and maybe download and use a codec like xvid or divx for extra compression and make a smaller avi or mov.

    If you are just looking to create an archive with winrar then 415>32MB is pretty impressive.
