How to connect 2 computers when using 1 modem and 1 router

Question

i have already connected my modem 2 my router(wan port) with a cat 5 cable, then i place the ethernet cables from both my computers into ports 1 and 2 in the router. Both computers are in the same work group if that means anything

so what i want to ask is why i cant go on the internet with both computers at once

May I asked you, have you already configured your router to broadcast private IP?

In LAN connection, what does says?Connected or Limited connectivity?

If you want, call your ISP about this problem.
