How to connect PS2 to sony digital cinema sound center thing?

ok.... i've had a sony str-de575 for quite a while and i thought that is it possible to put my ps2 into that and use it for ps2? and if so, how do i do it?

  1. Simple.  Just get yourself an optical audio cable (also called TOSLink) and connect the PS2 to one of the optical audio inputs on the receiver.

    Set your receiver to that input, and you'll get surround sound from the PS2 (assuming the game supports it - not all of them do.)

    You could also connect your video cables to the receiver as well, and use the receiver as a central switch, but it's not really necessary.
