How to connect a VCR???

OK

so i have a smasung tv , a sky box, a NTL box, a DVD player, and a VCR

all of the things work except for the VCR

can someone please ecplain how to connect it

the VCR has two SCARTS. and to circular things

the sky box is connected 2 the tv through a scart also and it has one spare scart.

HELP!!!!!!

  2. Just run the dvd and the sky box through the video. I do that and there's only one scart lead sticking out of My telly.

  3. It all depends on how many SCART inputs your TV has.

    TVs have SCART inputs only. Sky, NTL, DVDs have SCART output only.

    A VCR has an input *and* output usually.

    You might need some multi-way SCART switches to get it exactly how you like. But then you might decide you never need to record from Sky or NTL or whatever...

  4. Aha!! I had this very problem. It is something to do with one of the tiny wires inside the scart that sends a signal to tell the vcr/tv/whatever that that output has been selected. What you have to do (i did this with much success) is open the scart lead and snip one of the wires. I think its no.8 but don't quote me on that. Best stick it into google.
