How to connect a Wi-Fi mobile to a Wi-Fi laptop ?

plz tell how i can connect to internet thru a a Wi-Fi mobile from my laptop..

if you have wifi , you should be able to see all wifi networks...

, just select a one you want to connect

You would have to use ad-hoc (instead of infrastructure mode) for the wireless connection, and have Windows ICS or something similar enabled for the internet connection, so the laptop would masquerade the private IP that ICS assigns as your public IP for internet access.

I have done that to connect my Palm TX through a wireless labtop connected to cablemodem.  But it was awhile ago so I cannot remember all the details (like whether I had to manually assign IP/gateway/DNS to the Palm wireless).  Although if ICS is properly enabled for your internet connection it should automatically assign an IP to laptop wireless.

Create an Ad-HOC network on your PC

1) Connect your Mobile to the ad-hoc network

2) it'll take time for it to assign IPs

if u have vista it'll connect in a jiffy and u can share internet from laptop to mobile also..
