How to connect an aux audio cable from Kenwood krc...

I just bought an aux audio cable for Kenwood krc 705. I knew that cable support every model excep my model. But I still bought it because that cable can plug into the back of my Kenwood unit. When I plug the cable in, my Ipod is charged, but the sound couldn't be transfered from Ipod to the that Kenwood unit. Can you help me? Thanks. Please email me at: [e-mail]
