How to connect an old DVD/VCR combo to my Sony Bravia?

The only thing that came with my DVD player is a coaxial cable and that doesn't seem to work when I connect to my television. Other than that, I don't have any other cables. Which ones should I get?

  1. your dvd/vcr combo should have a red,white,and yellow hook up and if it does then get one of those cables thats got them on both sides and plug it in. or component cables for a better signal if you dvd player supports it.
