The TV has the 3 input/output "jacks" (Red, Yellow, & White) if that helps any. Or if there is a connector I need. I've never had the problem in the past, my past TV's have had a headphone jack in them. Any help would be appreciated....Thank you!

  1. Check the back of the TV to see if it has a separate set of red/white OUTPUT jacks.  If it has them, go to the store and get a stereo RCA cable to mini-jack adapter.  This should have RCA plugs on one end, and a standard mini-jack input on the other.

Remember - this only works if your TV has an audio output - these will not be the same as the input jacks you mentioned.  They're usually located away from the inputs, just so you don't get them confused.

Plug that into your TV, and then plug in your speakers.  You may need to use the TV's setup menu to turn off the TV's built-in speakers, which will then send the sound to your speakers.  Some TVs also have a setting for Fixed or Variable sound output.  Fixed means the signal from the TV is at one volume, and you use your computer speakers' volume control to adjust how loud the TV is.  Variable means you can use your TV remote to adjust the sound coming out of the speakers.
