How to connect computer to computer?

Question

i have 2 line cards. 1 line card on connected my (DSL modem) and 2 line card connected other computer.i have a problem my pc on runing internet

but other not runing internet (what configuration)

plz tale me.

you can install a 2nd network card on the computer attached to the dsl

set up internet connection sharing

you have to set up which computer is the input which is the output

you will have to get a special ethernet cable called a crossover cable

  crossover cables are not the same as regular ethernet cable that you may buy at a dollar store.  A  regular ethernet cable will not work

  in most cases the easiest way to do this is to buy a router on sale

at a big box store. The wireless routers are usually the one on sale

Just turn off the wireless function to make it a cable ehternet wire only router

I have never heard of a "line card" but from your description I believe that you mean an Ethernet card.

What you should do is get a router and connect this way

Internet > DSL Modem >> Router Wan Port

Router LAN Port #1 >> Computer #1 Ethernet Card

Router LAN Port #2 >> Computer #2 Ethernet Card

Wired routers cost about $40 at Office Depot. It's a much better solution than trying to share the Internet through a computer
