How to connect to live with a laptop?

My dad keeps taking my ethernet cable away so I can't get on live. Is there any other way I can connect. I've tried with my laptop but i cant seem to make it work. Can some one help me with the laptop connection??

Ok my dad used to do this all the time. Ok either way your will need some ethernet cables. I dont know where you live but if you have a fry's electronics they are your best friend because you can get a bunch of cables for realllllly cheap. If you dont have a frys try walmart or best buy. Ok I dont know if your laptop is vista or xp so here are some links to some videos. Good luck with your problems with your dad, I know exactly how it is.
