How to connect tow computers to each other?

I want to connect tow computers by a wire to play multiplayer games? any answer please?.......

to connect between 2 computers you need

1. Ethernet card in each computer

2. One Cross Type UTP cable and do hub through ethernet card

Do u have router??Both of the computers connect to the router using LAN cable....

There are two ways to connect pcs.

For more than two pcs a router is needed,but as you need to only connect two pcs,it depende by which means you want to connect your pc.Either you are using firewire or a LAN.

In case of LAN you should have a cross wire other wise it will not work.

Cross wire is that in which both ends of the wire are connected anti parallel to the plugs.that is the wire which is left in one plug should be connected at the right of the other plug.

Now after plugging cross wire in both pc.Just assign them IPs.Although IP can be assigned automatically but for games you should assign IP manually in order to save you from any in assistence.

Ip can be assigned by going to the properties of LAN connection shown in taskbar.And then in the properties of TCP/IP protocol

Assign 1 IP to be 192.168.0.1,this should be the main computer acting as a server.

While the other pc can be assigned 192.168.0.2.
