How to connect xbox360 to pc?

i am having problems connecting my xbox to my windows xp i have windows media player 11 and my laptop recognises ma xbox but its my xbox that cant recognise my computer i have a wireless internet but not ma xbox i have it connected to my router plz help me and if u know the answer plz tell me step by step becuz im not that gd in computers :(

i tried it before. it eventually worked, but it still didnt get me online. like it recognized it and everything. i think they do that somehow so you're forced to buy the $90 attachment for wireless... but good luck if yu can figure it out. I work on computers as a hobby and i really couldnt figure it out.

To connect the Xbox 360 console to this computer, you must be running Windows XP Service Pack 2, Update Rollup 2 for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, or Windows Vista.

do u have ur xbox live set up. i think thats the only way the xbox will recognize it.

im not sure what u said but al lyou have to do is take the ethernet cable from ur modem and put it i nthe back of xbox360
