How to contact a dead relative?

If it's possible.. I want to 'speak' to my grandmother. She died a year or two before I was born because she had a heart attack. I dont want to 'see' her.. cos I get really freaked out if I see a person.. like.. you know what i mean.

And is there any way that I could kinda.. transfer my thoughts to her spirit ? or something like that.. and without Jesus/God/Holy Spirit getting angry because I'm losing faith ?

First of all, you have to lose the fear. There is nothing to be afraid of. If you have fear you block communication.

Second, you sit very still in a quiet room, get very relaxed  and talk to her in your mind. The listen quietly for answers to come as thoughts in your head.

You have to have a clear line of communication though, without your own thoughts getting in the way. Be patient. it is very subtle.

The simple way is to think your feelings with focus on your memory of your grandmother.  It is not polite to invoke the spirits after they passed over.  It is better to let them rest in peace.  You feelings of longing to know her are natural.

You all ready have her genes and she lives immortally through you.

Spend your time helping yourself in this lifetime.

Did any of you ever read in the Bible where Jesus took his disciples or apostles to a mountain (I think) and showed them Moses, Abraham etc)  and Jesus told them "God is the God of the LIVING...not the dead."? (I guess he was saying that Moses etc. were still alive.)So where does this fit in with what the others said about the Bible saying that it's wrong to contact the dead (although I KNOW from experience it isn't safe & don't advise it) . I think that verse someone mentioned was in the Old Testament ..before Jesus' time. Was it only for Jesus? I'm just asking...not arguing ! OK?(I know ..I should get a Bible so I can do exact quotes from the Bible. But I used to read the Bible TOO MUCH...so I had to leave it alone for awhile. I probably misunderstood it. Am I misunderstanding it now?

For Christians, if I recall correctly, the idea of speaking to the dead can be thought of as going against scripture (someone correct me on that if I'm off base). EDIT: Found the verse, Deut 18:11 (see link). Apparently Catholics interpret this differently if you're praying to a saint.

From a scientific perspective, there is no compelling evidence that it's possible to communicate with the souls of the deceased, although many people yet believe that it is possible anyway. Mediums and cold readers like John Edward can be very convincing. They're very good at what they do.

I'm sorry you never met your grandmother. All my grandparents were deceased by the time I was born too. :(

The simple answer is, you can't speak with a dead relative.  When someone has died they are gone forever.  That is one of the hardest things to comes to term with in life.  I can understand your desire to speak with someone you miss.  Some people, driven by their eagerness to do so, are taken in by the likes of Sylvia Browne and John Edward.  Please don't allow some parasitic criminal to take advantage of you and disrespect the memory of your grandmother like that.

You could always imagine yourself having a conversation with her.  You might have a good idea of the kinds of answers she might have.

I'm sorry, it's not possible.  There are plenty of people out there who will tell you that you can do this, but they are LYING to you.  Perhaps they have deluded themselves to the point where they really think they can talk to the dead, but they can't.  It's not possible.  They are simply trying to take your money and messing around with your emotions.  It's just sick.

First of all.. seeking out dead relations and friends, is not a good thing to do, not one of the good things that martha stewart always says, smilessssss

  the dead knows NOTHING.. but as was text here to you, other spirits can  instead grasp you

the bible says they are familiar spirits, they come in resemebling your grandmother, take a form there of.. you may invite something in, that u cant put  BACK..

if your a christian, and there is a empty place in you, fill it up with the Lord and enjoy  LIFE!!

BE CARFUL!!!!  trying to communicate with dead ppl can be real dangerus depending how u do it... watever u do DONT try automatic writing or weegee boards... ur dead loved 1s cant reach u that way.... but other dangerus an evil spirits can.... an these dangerus spirits r out there jus waiting for the chance u give them to come thru an hurt u!!!!

when u use a weegee board or automatic writing ur giving permision to bad spirits to take CONTROL of ur HANDS... an they might not stop there... they might try to posess ur hole body... an they might keep coming back to posess u again whenever they plz....  an weegee boards open port holes to the spirit world that r hard to close... ur giving permision to bad spirits to come into ur home.... an theyll keep coming back again an again an u might never get rid of them.... they might follow u forever wherever u go an try to hurt u the rest of ur life...

jus stay away from weegee boards an automatic writing all together!!!! insted the safest way to talk to ur grandmother is like other ppl here said... try talking to a picture of ur grandmother or try writing her a letter.... u cud even type her a letter on the computer... maybe save it to a file... u cud set up a folder jus for saving letters to ur grandmother... an it cud be sort of like keeping a diary....

from wat i here ur loved 1s r always watching over u an will here ur words... of corse comunication like this is only 1 way... ur grandmother wont be able to answer u.... if she does try talking to u it will probly be in a dream...  an u will never be sure if its realy ur grandmother talking to u or jus ur own dream... but thats jus how things r when ppl pass on.... ull never be able to have a full meeting with them again until the day ur own time comes an u meet them on the other side...

First of all, you need to release the fear. If you fear something, you will push it away. So if you're scared she's going to show herself to you, she just won't respond. You are not going to anger any holy entity over this. If you are serious about contacting the dead, set up a time every day where you will do it. After midnight is the best, with 2 or 3am being the "peak" time for this sort of activity. Some people use dowsing rods or a pendulum, others do automatic writing. You can simply speak out loud and ask for a sign, perhaps suggesting one you would accept. Be patient, you may not always get what you want or when you want it. Read books on the subject for more. There are also technologies like EVP and Frank's box that could be helpful, but they are technological and more expensive. Good luck!

Seeking out the protection or advice from the departed isn't the answer. If they could help you they would.

You may have dreamed about her or felt her presence (they sometimes like to peek in on you) in any case, if you feel the need to "talk" to her, just get a photo of her and get to know her a bit (find out what she was like) - and talk to her once you know her better.

You may not get the answers you're looking for, or might misinterpret the communication - it can be subtle and shouldn't be scary.

don't try it.  she's gone and will probably not communicate back.  also you could be setting yourself up for trouble and calling certain spirits in that shouldn't be summoned in the first place.

a good thing to do is just talk to her in your prayers or just when you are going to sleep, she will hear you, but she will prob. not respond in anyway.

Well, for starters, we need an object that belonged to your grandmother. Some may say it's her hair, a family heir loom, but I prefer a good, old fashioned skull. So head to the grave yard, and start digging. Now, the next part is important. On the third sunday of an odd numbered month, during a full moon, break into the local church, and flip the cross upside down. Bring Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) and inject it into your ear drums. Placing the skull of your deceased grandmother, upside down on the altar, bring your neighbours dog (the one that barks late at night) and slit its throat. Mix the remnants of the LSD into the blood drained from the dog and drink the concoction out of the skull. You'll be sitting down for tea and buscuits with your dear granny in no time.

To contact a dead relative is impossible at this time. Maybe later it will be possible. You have to remember that the body of your relative is "dead". There will be no communication between you and your relative.
