I have long (at my chest) blonde thick wavy hair....with layers. I need to know if there are any products or secrets to help keep it under control. Anything that you or someone you know has used that you can recommend would be awesome!

  1. I DOO!! hehe okay after you get out of the shower put foam hair curlers in the big ones wait till it drys and get a curling iron curl the wavy part but not too curly then straighten the ends and the under layer of your hair it makes it less volumptious and spray it with canned hairspray :)

  2. So how is it out of control?   is it robbing banks?   Staying out late all night and coming in at all hours?

Wavy hair is just that   Wavy.   I know many that put theirs up in curlers just to have waves in it.    Why would you want to straighten out what everyone else is trying to achieve.

Flaunt it and laugh "HA". and walk out of the room.

The only other control"shave yourself bald"

  3. If you want to keep your waves, but just want it to be more controlled, then you can use a product called Ringlet 07 by Redken, it works great for controlling frizz and defining waves.

  4. that sounds exactly like my friend. if it is really thick also like my friend Maura's, then go get it thinned out. it will look like they are cutting off a lot, but they really aren't. It does help it stay under control some. If you really want to go to like drastic measures, then you can go get a perm where they actually straighten your hair instead of curling it

  5. I have the same thing, but my hair is thin and very puffy...i straighten my hair like every other day and take showers at night and straighten in the morning. I also put a light amount of styling product, and use sunsilk conditioner "Hydra TLC" I use it and it works great, I also use biolage shampoo and sometimes conditioner.

  6. I have long wavy hair too.  I use a spray in leave in conditioner to get the tangles out.  Then I use some leave in conditioner  and comb through.  For styling products, I use a curling cream with a squirt of anti frizz serum mixing the 2 together in my palms before applying them to my hair. I comb through and scrunch.  I let my hair air dry.  When my hair is completely dry I put in some  conditioning cream such as Proclaim's coconut oil hair and scalp conditioner.  Massage through and brush through.  This makes my hair soft and shiny plus smell good.  You can find Proclaim in the African American hair care section at a beauty supply shop, such as Sally's Beauty Supply. I swear by this routine.
