  1. Anxiety is normal . It keeps us sharp and prepared . It is only bad when you allow it to stop you from doing something you would really like to .

    1. For every "what if ... something bad" there is a what if ....something good .

    2. When you get "frazzled" Take a deeep breath . Hold it for 3 seconds and let it out very slowly through your nose . Repeat 3 x .

    3. Give yourself some calm triggers . A drop of peppermint oil on your upper lip , a square of dark chocolate , a special song ( Try Strange Rivers by John Stewart ) .

    4. Break situations down into smaller parts . Take em on one at a time .

    5. Exercise . It calms you by putting your body in balance , and your mind will be less fearful if it can depend on a healthy body !

  2. All major life changes can do this so you are not on your own in this. You could try taking a natural herbal remedy for stress/anxiety,nervousness called Valerian. It can be bought over the counter in a Herbalist shop.  I do wish you well in your new life.

Best wishes and good luck. UK

  3. Worrying is a bad habit, you need to overcome it like any other bad habit. Try to modify the factors under your control, that is the only thing you can do.  From  http://mshn.org/worry.html

  4. Well thumbs up for doing something with your life!

But chill.  I know how hard that can be.  Can you afford to get a massage?  a lot of massage schools will hook you up for like $25 or something.

You could talk with your doc about some meds, but it's not always necessary.  But if you have a seriouse panic disorder, some meds may be necessary.  Having a panic attack while driving sucks, and a xanex will fix you in 3-5 minutes.

not that I'm saying you should go on drugs.

I would primarily recomend to go to the gym.  that is a great release for me.  that and my guitar.

h**l...if your around DC, i'll give you some info on one of my shows.

    good luck.
