I am from ASIA. I have a NTSC tv, but unlucky PAL air in the country. I am trying to make this tv work at affordable cost.

The LCD Tv has high resolution which is 1080i.

Wherever i go i see PAL RF signal or PAL composite.

I want to convert this PAL RF or PAL AV signal to a NTSC RF or AV signal.

  1. I agree with AV GUY....but don't buy the $50.00 unit if you want a good stable picture with color.

You'll have to buy the $300 or higher units to achieve 100% conversion and not 70% conversion factor .

The TV studios generally will buy the $695 unit, because they can't afford to deliver a BAD signal.....

  2. You may be able to switch your TV to 50hz pal. Look for a service menu code online. Some newer TV's have a hidden setting for this, as they sell the same TV in both US and Europe. If you TV has a power input marked 60/50 it most likely supports PAL, and it just needs to be switched.

You could also contact customer service they may just tell you how to do it.

    OR...

Try this for a cheap fix ( but TV may have to have a v/h-hold or 50 hz option or adjustment to prevent picture roll):

Try this for a better fix (pricey for HD): http://www.converters.tv/signals/pal_to_...

these will take care of the video portion.  You can use a PAL compatiable RF tuner with video out to this device before your TV to deal with the off air signals.
