How to convert US drivers license to Spanish drivers license?

Hi, I am moving to Spain in a month and I need to convert my American drivers license to a Spanish one. I heard converting my American license helps me with fees and some procedures.

You can't do that to begin with. You can get an American license and keep your current one, though.

I don't thank you can do that, I believe you will have to take there test when you get over there.but what do i know.
