  2. Inches are a unit of length , pounds are a unit of weight! So you can't convert pounds to inches or vice versa!

  3. Need to know how much 1 sheet weights  call it "x"

    1000 * x = weight

  4. weigh the 1000 sheet? but really they are two different types of measurement so you cant convert them.

  5. This would depend on the Length x Width (size) of the paper you are refering to.

For example:  A (20 Lb.) ream of 8-1/2" x 11" paper has 500 sheets of paper. So then if you have (1,000) sheets of the same size paper, this would weigh (40 Lbs.)

  6. There is no way to do that in and of itself, because different types of paper have different weights.  Thickness, by itself, doesn't tell you how much it will weigh.

If you knew what type of paper it was, i.e. 20 lb stock, then you could do it.

  7. You would need to know how heavy 1000 pieces of paper is in pounds, then divide by 1000 to know the weight of one.

Inches measure distance while pounds measure weight, so you there is no formula to convert.

  8. You can't.

But if you are just talking about paper, the density of paper is the weight per unit volume. Volume is in cubic inches (Not inches).

So if you know the volume in cubic inches and the density, that will give you the weight.

And since you don't seem to know what volume is, it's the length x width x height, all in inches, and the answer is cubic inches.
