How to convert protected audio files off itunes to a file format that is playable on a PSP-2001?

it has latest firmware

all songs off itunes are protected aac files with extensions M4P

wont play on a new psp slim

is their any way to convert to a aac file with an extension M3P

a song with staus of purcahsed can be converted how ever some songs that i perviously purcahsed are coming up as "protected aac" files which all songs when first purchased haev an extension of M4P however these "protected files" cant be converted by itunes

so is their any way(any program) that allows audio convertion?

  2. Yes, the first way you can do it is if you have a blank cd. Make a playlist in itunes with the purchased songs you want to unprotect and then burn them to a blank cd. Without removing the cd after the burn is complete, press import and it will import it back into your itunes libary and there will be no protection on these imported songs.
