  1. You need to know how the conversion works. In octal (base 8) every digit must be multiplied to power of 8, so:

    362 (octal) = 3x8² + 6x8¹ + 2x8^0 = 3x64 + 6x8 + 2x1 = 242

    In base six, the power is 6:

    423 (six) = 4x6² + 2x6¹ + 3x6^0 = 4x36 + 2x6 + 3x1 = 159

    and so on...
