How to convert video from xvid to divx without chaing size of video?

i want to convert xvid video file to divx video, but without changing the size of video. because my dvd dose not support xvid video...

  2. Use mencoder, and just copy the audio & video streams.  The two formats are equivalent.  You really just need to change the fourCC tag in the video container.

    mencoder input.avi -o output.avi -ovc copy -oac copy -ffourcc DX50

    That changes the FourCC tag to DivX 5.0 without any audio or video transcoding.
