How to convince a person that....?

* he and his children need family therapy?

* his children need to take a shower DAILY, not weekly, specially living in FL?

  1. That's a tough one.  First, let's assume that the children are in no way in any danger!

    The only way someone can learn something ,and become committed to it, is if they "understand" what is wrong about their way of doing it.  If this person was raised this way himself, he sees nothing terribly wrong with their lives.

    On the other hand, if his disinterest is due to having lost his wife etc. then he is possibly depressed.

    Is it possible he would prefer not to raise the kids?  Would they be better off elsewhere?  Can he afford therapy?  

    There are so many questions that need to be answered before anyone could assess the situation that I would probably notify the authorities and ask that they use their professional skills to find out what this family needs.

    He is lucky that you care!
