  1. um...well i didnt really have to push it to get them. I would never wear my glasses because i didnt like how i looked in them. (you could tell them you are self conscience in them. or refuse to wear them.) It was actually my school nurse who told my parents i should get them. We had to have the annual sight test, hearing test, weight etc. at my school. I didnt have my glasses on obviously and i failed the eye test. My nurse said that you also have to get a sight test before you can get your drivers license and if you take the test with your glasses on then you have to wear your glasses every time you're driving or else you can get pulled over for it. so...that was basically what made my parents get them for me. but again im not guna get my license for a while because i have a late birthday, but they still got them...

I cant really help you too much to help so that you can personally convince your parents, but that was what i did and now i have contacts! good luck : )

  2. This is so funny i just convinced my mom and dad my appointment is monday. I would just keep asking over and over. They just said aslong as i take care of them i can get some. She also talk to my friends moms to seeif they were okay.

  3. The way to convince Mom and Dad is to be Responsible and trustworthy in all things. Contacts take a lot of work and care, and are the most fragile things. So, assuming Mom and Dad have the money, speak to them like a responsible person and tell them you will take care of your things.

  4. say u "broke" or "lost your glasses and say " mom (or dad) i cant see well and i need to get help with my eyesight because i need to do my homework and the quickest way is to get contacts. so its win win ill be able to do homework so i could pass, and i could look good and stylish".

  5. Some eye doctors have age limits that they will fit with contacts.  So call you local doctor.

  6. I started wearing mine just after the sixth grade. I didn't really convince my parents, I just kind of asked. It all depends on their reasons for saying no. It could be because if you don't wash your hands properly you can get really bad infections. They can also be quite expensive. Perhaps they will allow you to get them when you start highschool, maybe if you pay for part of the costs. Ask them for their individual reasons, and then add them to this question. I can help you from there. If you play sports, it's better to have contacts because you can run better and don't risk breaking your glasses.

  7. I play basketball a lot, and I had a particularly fragile pair of glasses. They broke a few times, and my parents finally said, "its not worth it, get contacts." If you want it to imporve your looks, be honest with them. That usually works.

  8. You know I just said I was really sick of when ever I got knocked in the head with a ball in volleyball in gym my glasses would get bent or broken, or they'd fall off sometimes when I was sweating and they could get stepped on and that was reason enough for them.

Except I didn't like contacts, I was so used to my glasses slipping down myface I's occasionally try and push my glasses up, cept they wern't there so it looked really stupid, and the contacts really bugged my eyes too, I just couldn't wear them.

  9. I was in the same position you were in. This helped me get my contacts. Just sit them down and explain to them how they will make your life better. Explain to them maybe that you are shy wearing glasses... If they do bring up the fact that they are bad for your eyes you can mention to them that you won't wear them all the time only on special occasions such as school pictures, during school, Friends birthday party, weddings etc. Also be sure to mention that contacts only affect your eyes if you don't keep them hydrated with the special cleaning liquid and also if you do not take care of them. That's pretty much the only way they will rot when you put them in your eyes. Oh yeah and especially if you itch your eyes you might want to stop doing that for if you do get contacts. Also be sure to tell them you will gain extra responsibilities by have contacts. If they ask how you simply tell them " if i don't take care of them i can't wear them, and i want to wear them(: Hope this helped !
